Privacy & Security

CompAnalysis, Inc. is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to this Web site. We utilize safeguards designed to protect the privacy of all private information. We do not use your information in any manner not previously disclosed in our privacy statement. The following statements govern the privacy practices of www.salarysurveys.com.

General Information Collection and Use
Anyone can visit CompAnalysis, Inc.'s site without disclosing who they are or revealing any personal information about themselves. We track the Internet addresses of the individuals who visit our site to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement and gather broad demographic information, but this data is not linked in any way to personally identifiable information. The information we collect creates a broad picture of our population and is used to continually refine our Web site, identify the most popular areas of our site and improve our services.

Survey Registration
CompAnalysis, Inc. collects basic contact information (such as name, address, phone number and e-mail address) when you register on our site. Upon registration, you must specify a user name and password that enables you to access a restricted area of CompAnalysis, Inc.'s site, where the information you have or will submit is stored. An e-mail confirming your user name and password will be sent to you after you register. Once this confirmation e-mail is received, you may begin to access the restricted area immediately. Your personal information is only used for CompAnalysis, Inc.'s internal administrative and identification purposes. We do not share your information with any third party.

Password and User Name
You must enter your user name and password every time you access the restricted areas of the Web site. Your password and user name serve as your personal key to the CompAnalysis, Inc. Web site, survey forms and survey reports. Without this information, no other site visitor can access your information. Lost passwords may be retrieved automatically by navigating to the login page and selecting the "Forget your user name or password?" link. You can change your password at any time by selecting the "Set your Preferences" link.

Encrypted Credit Card Purchases
If you use a credit card to pay for services, the credit card number is encrypted as it passes over the Internet.

In addition, we are sensitive to the fact that some users are uncomfortable submitting their credit card number over the Internet, no matter how secure the environment. For this reason, it is also possible to register by printing out the registration form and then mailing it to our offices with your payment.

Submitted Compensation Survey Data
The information provided by survey participants is considered confidential and proprietary. We will hold the information in strict confidence and shall not use it for purposes other than assembling the survey report.

Network Vigilance
CompAnalysis, Inc.'s network administration team constantly monitors our security systems to make sure that your information remains safe and secure.

Notification of Changes
If we make any changes to our privacy policy, we will post the changes on our site so you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify you via e-mail. You will have a choice as to whether or not we use your information in this different manner. Consent will be deemed to have been given when we receive communication from you in response to our e-mail. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.

When you use the Send-to-a-Colleague form, we will not capture, record or retail your or your colleague's e-mail address. For more information read our Send-to-a-Colleague privacy statement.
